Opening Ceremony of WSU&SWUPL Chinese Law Program: Exchange, Interaction and Common Development

On the morning of November 20th, 2017, the opening ceremony of the China Law Project of Western Sydney University was successfully held in the first conference room of Jing Ye Building. The ceremony was attended by Professor June Wang (Chinese name: Wang Zhiqiong) and 25 students from Western Sydney University in Australia. In addition, Qin Jie, Dean of the School of International Education, Li Zhaoyu, Vice President of Civil and Commercial Law school, and Liu Yuji, Project Manager of the International Cooperation and Exchange were present. The ceremony was presided over by Zou Dan, Project Manager of the Institute of International Education.
First of all, Qin Jie, Dean of the Institute of International Education, took the Yangtze River and the Jialing River as clues, describing the important strategic orientation of Chongqing, introducing the development of our university, the scientific construction of subjects and the high-quality teaching resources to the Australian students. He hoped that all the students could have a good experience in SWUPL.
Then, both Wang Zhiqiong and Li Zhaoyu are mentioned that: The exchange programs between our two institutions have promoted the development and help students make progress.
Moreover, Laura who comes fromWSU, and Luo Zhihao who is a 2016 graduate student of Civil and Commercial Law School, respectively shared their experiences of studying and living in the SWUPL, as well as the impression of Chongqing.
SWUPL is located in Chongqing, which is an important city in the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the "One Belt and One Road". SWUPL should make full use of our unique geographical advantages to promote the development of the "One Belt and One Road" educational action. This program is a successful initiative for our school to try "Bring In" model of international educational exchange.
